@Tom V.   I attend a weekly meet up in San Gabriel/Arcadia. The realtor who hosts the meet up sells regularly to Chinese buyers. He's been talking about this for the year or so that I've attended.

Hi - Sharing an interesting article on Real Estate buying in Arcadia, CA. It's about 18 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.

Hello,

I have to reseal parts of a kitchen floor in my duplex. I'm learning the hard way after I initially sealed the tiles which are white and porous.

I used SEALER & FINISH (GLOSS) by TILELab. I gave the floor 3 coats but I did it over a 24 hour period and did it in sections.

In an instance like this, do I need some kind of sealer remover to wipe down the offending sections before resealing?

I will be making a trip to Home Depot but I thought a little pre education from here might help me ask the right questions.

Thanks in advance!

Francis

Post: REAL HARDWOOD OR ENGINEERED HARDWOOD FLOOR?

The engineered hardwood looks awesome! Is it too pricey for a regular duplex rental?

Update:

A friend of mine who makes furniture for stores like Restoration Hardware and Urban Outfitters just delivered a table to a house in Elysian Park. He was shocked. This is the area right beneath Dodger Stadium. In true gentrification fashion the home they delivered the $2000 dollar table was the home of a designer.

I will be driving that area soon to re famililarize myself with the neighborhood.

@Dave Kay

Ironically, I viewed your post on my phone and this ad was right beneath it.

You're pretty much at the "beach". The bigger pockets "beach" so to speak. So if you will humor me, sand not necessary! ;-)

The titles below have helped me. If you scour the text beneath each podcast and check out the bullet pointed topics and/or books, you're pretty much set with what you're looking for.

@Brandon Sturgill What you looked at feels like a deep pocketed developers pet project. I am not a SFR mansion type (at this point) but I'm wondering if the $700 gas bill could be tamed with Solar panels. Granted solar panels can "ruin" the look and feel of a building. Or would it be better as a tear down and replaced with a duplex or tri (if rezoning is at all possible)?

@Engelo Rumora  This reminds me of some of the buildings near downtown Los Angeles that have been divvied up and turned into Duplexes and tris. It's certainly a looker!!!
