Hi @Account Closed - Thank you so much!  The Philly Tax Code is so useful, and thank you for pointing out the page number!

And haha, yes, I can imagine I would be like that cat if I read any more of that document that is over 100 pages long.

Thank you for all of the great advice and help, Tim!  This explains a lot!

Hi @Steve Babiak - Yes, we discovered this, and may not want to invest in Philadelphia for that reason, but we are thinking about it.  It may be worth it.  But we are not sure if our PMB should have a Philly address.  We currently do but would change it if it appeared like we should change it.  We were thinking taxes would be lower in any of the surrounding counties and business requirements would be less confusing (for the PMB and just where the real estate properties would be located).

Hi @Account Closed  - that is exactly what we want to do....have a PO Box or PMB (same as PO Box but from the UPS Store)......But we were interpreting this as our business address even though it is a box.  So, the physical address of our "home business" (physical location) is the "place of business" and not the one registered as our official address (PO or PMB)?  It has just been confusing!  Thank you so much for your reply!

So BPT or BIRT or NPT is for the physical address where you do your business and not the address that is considered your address?  We don't want both to be the same (we don't want visitors coming to a personal home).  Thanks again!

Hi BiggerPockets Community,

We established an LLC recently and are now doing the business start-up basics - getting mentors, getting our business plan reviewed, finding an accountant and attorney, etc. But we established a Personal Mail Box (PMB) in a UPS Store that is in a high-tax county. We are looking to see if anyone has any suggestions for establishing a business location address in Delaware, Bucks, or Montgomery Counties, in Pennsylvania. We did hours and hours of research and can't seem to figure out the best place. Your help would be much appreciated! Thank you for any insights, those of you in the Philadelphia area! :)

Hi @Luis Montanez - Entertaining video!  I watched it in its entirety.  I agree that it is not central to our business......but we just want to be thorough and cover all the bases.  But interesting video and a good reminder to stay focused.  Thanks!  I looked up the authors of that video more and they actually have some great ideas about how important documented processes are.  So it reinforces some good things.  Thanks again.

Thank you @Michael Quarles !  In addition to Line2, I will look into RingCentral more!  Thanks to you both!

Hi - I've read a few posts on trademarking but not specific to my question, so I'm posting. If I have a logo designed by myself and a tag line, should I have it trademarked so no one else can use it before I use on my website, business cards, etc.?  Some have said it is automatically trademarked once you use it, but it will not be registered unless I go that route, which appears expensive. What is your experience with your logos and tag lines? Thank you very much for your advice!

Hi BiggerPockets Community - thank you for being such an excellent resource! I have a question about a second phone line.  The options are varied and there are pros and cons for each solution. I've come to the conclusion that Line2 is best, but I really wanted to hear from others with experience. The following is a result of my analysis:

1. Google Voice - changed since Google Hangout began and now it isn't just for  a second phone line but a lot of features that are not necessary

2. Grasshopper - read some good things about this service, but not any from BiggerPockets members

3.  One Suite for Business - has great features but more features than the second phone line and may be too much for a business that does not need multiple phone lines

4. Line2 - just as the name suggests, this is for those businesses that just want to add a second phone line.... And it is cloud based so you don't need a new dedicated phone for using it... And it can be used by one cell phone at a time so more than one cell phone can access it.  It also has voice mail by email as an option and auto attendant

5. RingCentral - read about it by others at BiggerPockets but seems like a lot more than a second phone line

So I'm leaning toward Line2 but wanted to see if anyone has a great experience with it or with other options.  Thank you very much in advance! Thank you BiggerPockets Community!

Thank you, all!

Thank you for your help! Northwest seems the most promising to us since they have a local RA office listed on the PA Dept of State website and they scan everything (and they can immediately scan and e-mail it to our lawyer at the same time, very helpful)

@Raymond B. - Haha, thank you, finally got it to work! :) Thank you for explaining that!
