I was thinking about posting this question when i signed up for BP because this can definitely result in a major road block for me.  I should have known many of you have a shortsighted spouse like I do.  I'm just starting out and I know this conversation with my husband is inevitable but I think I'll take the conservative approach.  I'll outline my plan and show him the possible numbers, hopefully he'll get on board from imagining the benefits.

Hi All,

just wanted to write a quick intro because that's what Josh suggests...lol  I don't have much in regard to a real estate portfolio but I'm looking to begin investing part time.  This site has been amazing and I've soaked up so much knowledge in just a couple of weeks, so thanks to you all for being so open.

Well, I'm a wife and mother and my husband and I moved from Chicago back in 2013.  We are renting our home there and that is the extent of our real estate acquisitions.  I've always had a love for real estate but fear has kept me from pursuing investing in past years. Now, that's changed.  I have a plan and I'm ready to be persistent in fulfilling it.

I've focused my knowledge pursuit to buy and hold real estate investing.  That interests me most because of the consistent cash flow it can produce.  I have some obstacles to overcome but I figure I'll take one step at time and I'll reach my goals. 

Last, I'd like to connect with you guys especially those of you in the DC area.  Please feel free to reach out.
