Is anyone else noticing there seems to be an increase in homes that are coming back on the market across Los Angeles? Does anyone know why this is happening? I’m wondering if it’s a sign that there is a price correction on the horizon.

@Jason Wray thanks for the insight - very helpful

Looking for opinions on what people think is going to happen to real estate prices next year in Los Angeles. It seems like Single family homes are flying right now and condos not so much. Everyone wants more space and all the conveniences of what condos offer are no use if nothing is open and everyone is working from home.

So I'm wondering what people think is going to happen once the pandemic is over. Will condos be desirable again and catch up to single family home prices or is there a chance single family residences will drop? Or will the gap in prices between condos and SFH's be permanent?

just wondering what the rental market is like right now in Santa Monica? Are condo's/townhouses renting at normal rates or are rents dropping? Trying to decide when would be a good time to rent my place out as I am hoping to buy another property within the next year.

Thanks in advance!

I own a high end 2 bed 3 bath condo in the 90403 zip code of Santa Monica. It was built 5 years ago. We unexpectedly had another baby and so I would like to purchase a single-family home for my growing family in the near future but am unsure as to what to do with my current residence. I don't need to sell it to buy another property and as we have only owned it a few years we are thinking it might be smarter to just hold onto for a while and let it accumulate in value a bit more as the majority of the growth we've had on the home will go to real estate fees etc. We can refinance and rent it out and make a small profit. My husband thinks we should try and keep it because over the next 10/15 years it will likely accumulate in value because it's in such a desirable zip code. Then we can sell or keep as an income property when we eventually retire.

Just curious to hear what people think the smartest financial move would be.

Many thanks in advance
