@John Plumstead I would love to discuss this further with you as I have definitely considered Lawton, but I feel as I am not familiar enough with the area yet.

And thank you all for the warm welcome. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Hi everyone! I'm new to REI and very excited. Currently live in Hawaii, but moving to Lawton, OK in a few months. Would prefer to buy rental properties in the DFW area as my wife has family there. I'm new to investing in REI. Completed one flip before (as the investor/handy man help), but the house sat on the market too long and barely made any $. I would like to get into rental properties and create a nice passive income for my eventual transition out of the Army, though that is probably 10 years down the road. The passive income would allow me to spend my free time with my family and travel with them as well. If you are an investor in the DFW / Dallas, TX area I'd love to meet up with you and help you whenever I can as I learn the ropes. Thanks for taking the time to read my post, I wish you all the best! God bless Texas, Frank Worsham
