Does anyone have experience with attorneys in Texas that handle both corporate and real estate matters that are RESPONSIVE to emails and phone calls?

I would like to know what BPCON is like from a Non BP Staff attendee perspective:

Is there a lot of new learning opportunities? (not repeat of information bootcamps, books, and videos\podcasts)
How is it for networking?
Is there still value if the additional sessions are NOT purchased?
Has anyone made connections with other investors there that are still (actively) maintained?
Has anyone done any deals while attending?

I am interested to hear the different perspectives on experience and value.

Thanks in advance!

Here's my experience from 2 years ago at the New Orleans event. It was fun, mostly the exploring of a new city after conference hours. I did not make any valuable connections; just about everyone I talked to was in the same position I was in at the time (brand new, 1-2 units). The only guest speaker who really blew my mind was @Dave Van Horn , and I ended up buying his book. Everyone else, you could get their information from a free podcast or the book they had already written on the subject.

I do not regret the money we spent on it, it was a great experience. That said, I was unwilling to pay the cost to go down to Orlando this year and hang out with 2200 other people trying to do the same thing I'm doing. Admittedly I don't like crowds, and networking at large event's can feel almost forced at times. Not my first or last big networking event either. But for learning and networking, I've personally had much better success at smaller local events. Your mileage may vary!

@Malcomb Stapel

Yes, I attend those as well. However, those tend to take place only once a month for a couple of hours not an entire weekend. So the rest of the month I am talking to non-investors who have no interested in the subject.

I hear you.
I'm not crazy about large crowds either. I prefer smaller events. However, I'm still considering going because it would be nice to be around so many other people that share interest in REI. Most people look at me like I'm speaking another language when I start taking about any kind of investing.

I’ve got several and will message you.  It just depends on what your specific need is.

Hi Jeff,

Would you mind sending me some recommendation as well? I am looking for ones that are familiar with "Subject To", "Owner Finance" and Pre-Foreclosures.
So one that can help me draft agreements and help with transactional questions.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Josh,

Congrats on beginning your new journey. From you post it looks like you are choosing real estate arbitrage because you are looking to find something with minimum barrier of entry since you don’t have credit or a lot of money yet?

If that is the case, have you considered “Subject To” and “Creative Finance”?

Using those methods you could buy a house with little to no money out of your own pocket.

If you look up Pace Morby on Bigger Pockets and Youtube you will find a bunch of videos and articles on using this method along with other creative finance options to buy a house with no money out of your own pocket.

He also just release a book with Bigger Pockets called “Wealth Without Cash”

I hope this helps!
