My tenant asked for a roommate, so I informed him that I would need to do a background check and credit check. I am okay with having the roommate move in but im not sure of what type of document I should have the tenant and roommate sign. I would like the tenant to be fully responsible for rent and apartment. would it be a lease addendum?

Need a General contractor familiar with FHA 203k streamline loans in south Jersey (Burlington, NJ).

Budget is 25k

Looking to remove a non loading wall in kitchen, remove carpet and replace with vinyl flooring, remove drop ceilings raise ceiling.

Looking to close in 30 days. And will like the job done as early ad possible.

Thanks

I'm currently in the process of purchasing a fourplex in Derby, CT. I am in need of an experienced CPA from CT who specializes in Real Estate, for  Tax and software recommendations, and yearly returns.

With all this talk about a potential recession coming soon. I'm eager to know if anyone else has thought about pulling out all of their money out of their retirement accounts and going full throttle on real estate investments?.

I'm just starting off looking to purchase my first house hack this year and then focusing on Buy and hold SFH. I believe I'll be able to buy 2-3 sfh a year but with the money I can pull out of my retirement account I can probably do 3-5 homes.

Any advice?

@Jaysen Medhurst

Thanks Jaysen.

Unfortunately you are right when u talk about what my price range can get me.

But im hopeful that if I wait long enough something will pop up that I can jump on. I've been on realtor.com for the past 4 months just looking to see if there is anything that fits my criteria and very seldom ly do i find something.. but they are there :)

@Rich Tirado

Thanks for the reply

Yea I've heard that about Fairfield County. It's good for me to house hack in because I do have a lot of family in new York so the commute will be fairly easy.

But my investments will most likely be in bridgeport, blackrock ( as long as I feel safe in the neighborhoods I would invest)

@Louis I.

Thanks for replying.

I looked into bethel, CT and they have great school district and just finished saving a search on realtor for it. Thanks for the info!

Are you looking to sell?. Who knows I might be interested:)

Hey everyone,

Will be looking to move to Connecticut in the up coming months. Looking into Fairfield County. Wanted to know if anyone can recommend some towns where I can focus on looking for a house hack. Looking for 5+ bedrooms 2 + bathrooms ( duplex,triplex or quadplex) in a decent school district.

At around 300-400k

Also will be investing in single family homes in connecticut. Any tips would really help.

Wanted some advice on which market is best for what I'm looking for. I'm married with 2 kids and currently live in NY. I own my co-op which I have about 50k in equity. I am the sole money maker in the household my wife is stays at home with the kids. We will soon be looking into getting the kids into school (next 2 years) but the school district we live in is awful. So our plan is to sell the co-op. Find a rental until we find a multi family home that best suits our needs. I am looking for a 5+ bedroom 3+ bathroom multifamily in a good school district. My budget is 350k ( i intend to put 20% down) . Also I am a Registered nurse so a location where there are great hospitals near by would also be a + Any advice as to where we can go? I've been looking at places in texas.. Connecticut. Etc
@Anthony White CONGRATULATIONS ON ALL YOUR SUCCESS I've been looking into long distance Real Estate as well. My biggest fear is contractors.. what do you do to find good ones when you need rehab work done? All advice would be greatly appreciated
