Post: How do you feel about gimmicky asking prices? $345,678.00

The market is competitive for buyers in segments of Southern Maine and the asking price has been more of a suggestion than a hard value to defend on my seller's behalf.  Offers are coming in above asking to compete and small alterations in the price seem inconsequential.

What are your thoughts on the best advertised price?  Does a gimmicky price lose credibility or act as an attention-getter?

Should it be $345,000 : $344,999 : $345,678 : $345,101 : $345,500
