@Colin Smith,

Thanks for the advice! I have some real estate investors that pay for leads so I can definitely lean on them to see how the contract process really works. What I would like to do eventually is do that and possibly do my own wholesaling. Again, thank you for your advice, I really appreciate it!

Good luck to you!

Hey BP,

I've listened to and reading almost everything I could about REI and I think wholesaling is a great place for me to start my REI journey. Not only is it a great way to earn money to start purchasing my own homes but, it also gives me a chance to follow and listen to season investors that know the business and can point me in the directions I need to travel. I've collected a list of about 400 vacant properties, of which, about 100 have great potential for investors to make a great profit on. I have motivated buyers but I have a huge problem. I need some advice on what to say to the absentee owners!

I know there’s a lot of post and blogs that say a mailing campaign is a great way to get responses but I really need some good advice on what to say and how to say it without scaring the owner away. Thanks to everyone in advance for the advice!

Good luck to everyone!

Thanks to all of you for the welcoming and advice! So far, I've just been reading and listening to as much as possible before I actually get out there and start making my first deals. But thank you to everyone here for all the advice! Keep it coming, I'm like a sponge.

Hi everyone,

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Chris and I'm very new to the Real Estate Investing Industry. I have wanted to do real estate investing for a long time but never had the tools nor mentoring to do it. I've read some books and articles about the investment industry but I'm like a baby trying to hold its head up. I live in West Virginia and, as of right now, there are not a lot of REIA meetings to attend here, but I know with the help from the forums and advice from others, I will be well on my way to making my first deal!
