Post: Back Splash Assistance

My back splash edges were not finished correctly, and I'm looking for some tips to clean them up. Right now they are grouted at a 45 degree angle on the edges, and while I was assured they would look good when they were done, they do not. What I'm wondering is if it would be possible to dremel behind some of the tiles, then insert a schluter strip. The problem areas are only about 14" tall, but in a noticeable spots. Any other suggestions for tiding up rough edges that doesn't involve ripping the whole thing out and redoing it?

Accessible beige from Sherwin Williams. Worst name for a paint but looks real good.

Hey, welcome to BP.  I've had a fair amount of success house hacking in the suburbs. A 2 flat in Logan Square might be twice as much as a 2 flat in Berwyn. The suburbs have a lot to offer if you don't mind a slightly longer commute.

Hey David, welcome to the forums! I've done a few house hacks in the suburbs. I think it's an underrated area for house hacking, houses are cheaper and it's a little less competitive.  DM me if you want to meet up sometime and talk.

If the rest of your condo is updated, I would strongly consider doing it. An old bathroom will stick out and be the most memorable part, you don't want that.

Post: Should I wash the roof?

I'm going to be listing my house soon. The exterior has been freshly painted, it has new windows and doors. The roof is in fine condition, it's just a little dirty. I can pay $400 to have it washed. Is that worth the expense or is roof washing a gimmick? I'm also fairly handy, is it something I could do myself with a few hours to kill? The house is about 1800 square feet, so the roof is fairly big. Is it worth the time or money? I want to list it next week or so.
