Buying an out of state investment property in Kansas City, MO. Looking for recommendations on National Home Insurance companies that cover all 48 states or pretty close to it.

Your response is appreciated!

@Jamie Rose

I think our buying power can go further out of state, AK has some big list prices. Do you invest solely in AK?

My buddy and I have recently gotten into residential RE in Alaska where we currently live. We both have one property each, and looking for more. The prices in Alaska are pretty inflated, so we’re looking into partnering and investing out of state. Just not sure how we should go about structuring the partnership, could you guys let me know how you like to put your partnerships together? Or point me to your favorite resource on partnerships? Greatly appreciated!

@Tracy Streich

Thanks for the feedback!

Do you invest yourself?

Recently I’ve been thinking of starting up a PM business, managing my own and other properties so I don’t have to give away portion of my profits. Would that be a savvy move or would I be taking on too much and not give myself enough time to do more investing?

@Alex Craig

I will look into this option for future reference, but I strongly suspect they are no professional carpenters. Thanks a lot Alex!

@Theresa Harris

Yes, I like that idea. I do have a porch on the second level and there’s definitely space to build a small shed under it. Thanks for the ideas!
