@Chris Mason I think bank of America HELOC has an interest rate of 5% (3ish % for the first year). I believe you will need to pay an early closure fee. Maybe just consider that as the loan fee.

@Andrew Ashby Thanks for sharing your experience in Chattanooga area. That's a great deal. Do you have any contractor you would recommend as an OOS investor?

Congrats Karam. It sounds like a great deal. May I ask what auction site did you use?

@Marco Santarelli like your message (and or podcasts). Do you have advices on what resources I can use to research markets? I have been using Zillow to get rent and listed house prices but I often see people getting better deals in the same area. Not sure if I am getting the right or more relevant data for investors.

@Aaron K. Thanks for the reply. Asking around and talking to people seem to be the first steps.

Hello! I am a newbie here and would like to some ideas of how other investors get started with the first long term investment. From what I read team building is something to do early on (after picking a market).

So for people doing long term, how do you reach out and pick your real estate agent, contractor, PM? What are the things you've tried that worked or didn't? Thanks in advance for sharing the insights.
