Post: Citi exiting mortgage servicing concers

Just found out this morning that Citi will be selling their mortgage services and exit by 2018. Do you think this is a sign of another crash for real estate? I heard also that some mortgages that are backed by securities can still default.

How do you feel and do you think this is a good thing? Should we be ready for another crash?

Thank you @Marlon Fong it's nice to network with people all over the world doing the things they love!

@Richard Beatty Thanks Richard (Is it ok if I call you Richy instead?) lol. I looked into Boston Home Center and it looks like a potential great place to start. Just need to do more research or if you don't mind telling me your story. :)

@John Bernabel You are making moves bro! I wish I took risk like you did 2 years ago. Better late than never! Classical, English or voke?

@Mark Nolan I'm fortunate to join the community and hopefully people can express the extremes they went to obtain their first property.

@Mike Hurney I plan scheduling a monthly meeting since he lives in Rhode Island, but he's really doing well. I'm sure I can become an apprentice and help him expand out here to Mass,

@Russell Brazil This would have been the last place to find someone from Chelsea. I wish I met you sooner before you let go of those properties. Can we keep in touch? It would be great to learn about how you took the risk to leave the city and achieve your real estate goals! Chelsea has taught me a lot! The fact that I can make friends with all different types of people and nationalities has taught me many lessons. Once a Chelsea kid always a Chelsea kid! Did you go to Chelsea High or another school?

To wrap this up with everyone. Thank you for reaching out to me! I was very hesitant about joining, but after this first post. I know we're all here for to learn, develop and succeed! Now lets achieve those real estate GOALS!

Best,

Felix Torres!

Hi everyone,

My name is Felix and I live in Chelsea,MA. I say Chelsea because I am proud from the very small city that I am from and to have people look up where the city is.I am a Bentley alumni from the Class of 2015 and a bank examiner for the Commonwealth Of Mass. I have no experience in real estate at all, but I have read many books. I just don't know where to start to be honest.

I have a strong interest in rental properties. My goal is to eventually have multiple rental properties throughout the city of Chelsea and expand to other cities and states. I realized that I live in a city that is attracting a lot of investors. I want to enter the game before it is too late.

I joined BiggerPockets because my friend Manny who is also a Bentley Alumni started flipping unfinished and ugly houses to people. We would study long hours with our case studies for class and after he would read his real estate books. Now he's on his way to hitting 50k and I really look up to him.

I really look forward to meeting new people and learning different strategies from everyone.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Felix T
