was just checking because I paid $22,000 for it and it was appraised by insurance for 39,900 so 428,000 seems like a lot to insure it for but my insurance minimum to insure a property for is 417,000 Just don't want to be over paying if it's not worth it. I didn't do research before getting the policy I just added it because I already had auto with.

What do you guys typically pay for Insurance on Rental property? I pay $2004 per year for a SFH in Harrisburg PA. is this too expensive? Also includes pump and sewer backup $428, 000 rebuild value $500,000 Liability $42,000 Rental income loss (upto)

@Mike B, Curious also as am looking into purchasing a duplex with shared utilities and was told by my realtor that it would cost approximately  $6000 to do the separation- that's for a new water heater, electrical panel and install. Does this sound correct to you
