Hey guys, just an update.  I looked at the short sale and it was pretty bad.  Solid neighborhood but just some insurmountable obstacles like two bedrooms with a "3rd bedroom" which was basically a loft with short ceilings. Needed to be completely re-sided, new windows, new bathroom, but the kitchen was spectacular.  The numbers just didn't work for me.  On to the next.

Hello BP community!  I am looking to make my first investment and have identified a short sale as a possible option for a flip.  I am taking a look at it tomorrow with my realtor.  Any suggestions/recommendations on short sales?  Kind of a broad question, but I have been looking at lender owned properties and this is the first short-sale I have come across.

The property is occupied currently and looks like it could use some TLC but not wholesale renovations.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Thank Mark and Trexie!  It's a great thing to have a forum to discuss all of our experiences.  I have been working with a realtor and am looking at more properties this weekend.  I am in the mindset of just get out there and do it, for better or worse, and learn.  It just seems to be the best education for myself.  I'm anticipating that the first deal will have the greatest learning curve, but ultimately my goal is to develop relationships with contractors and come up with a process to make flipping as efficient as possible.  I will be active on here looking for advice for sure!

Hello BiggerPockets community!  I am a new investor in the greater springfield area and am looking to start flipping homes.  I am new to the flipping world but I have a lot of construction background and I even finished half of my basement myself.  I am currently looking for the right deal to make a move on!

Thanks!
