Post: Calling agents to ask questions but they think I'm scamming?

Christopher, I'm looking for the I-wish-I-would've-known-that-sooner information. I have the technical info that I'll need for now, the meat/potatoes of lead generating, tracking etc. I'm not going to waste peoples time by asking what a listing is or vague questions like "how do I succeed". What eludes me are the subtleties. I want to know what I might miss at my age and experience. What you are learning now after ____ years in the business. Things like that if you get what I'm saying.

Jay, I figured it would be less time consuming to talk over the phone but it is a lot more genuine and shows real motivation if you meet them in person and buy their lunch. Thanks for helping me realize that.

Like I said in the title, I'm trying to call around to get advice and to ask some specific questions about lead tracking, their economic model etc. but they think I'm a scammer? I didn't even know it was such a big thing to call agents to try and scam them (scamming for what, I still don't know). How can I get around this and gain their trust? Other than having them test my knowledge of the area, I can't think of any other way to get past their walls.

Hey, everyone. I'm here to network and hopefully build lasting business and personal relationships that can be profitable for us both.
