@Adam Fleck, I can feel it too, all of the support has stoked my fire even more! Thank you all for the contributions and open arms in joining this new community. I'm still relatively green, so excuse my lack of knowledge, when referencing "lists" are you talking about lists that will have live data of active property listings? I'm still working on gathering all of the essential tools for being an effective investor and future agent.

@Tyler Wagner, Thank you for the warm welcome and the invitation to the next REI meeting! I will most definitely be there so long as it works with our schedule (schedules are a little hectic around our home with my wife working two jobs, me being a full time student & having 3 little ones running around) however, I will make it a top priority to be at all of the meetings I am able to attend. I was just watching some of your videos and reading through your team's "About Me" section on the website. I absolutely love the mission you all have and the drive to help one another succeed! I would love to be a part of that mission one day.

@Joey Chavez, tools are an invaluable asset in all walks of life, this field especially. Thank you for sharing that with me, I'll definitely put it to good use! :)

@Caleb Webster, Couldn't agree more! I was raised in a rural area north of Seattle and watched it explode throughout my childhood; once we moved here and I established that this area is doing exactly what I watched happen there, I knew there was a valuable market to be taken advantage of here.

I plan to take full advantage of my time with @David Clinton III, I'm very excited to meet with him and see what comes of our conversation. Notes will be my top priority and I hope I am able to find a way in which I can bring value to him as well!

One of my primary goals in this journey is to be able to bring value to others as you all are doing. I find it truly inspirational and have had a fire lit inside me ever since I've caught the bug. Throughout my twenties I've found myself in many careers, none of which seemed to bring any fulfillment to my sense of well being and my desire to give back to the world around me. Hence the reason for pursuing a career in Nursing, I'm hoping that between Nursing and real estate investing that I am able to do what all of you are doing here as I've noticed that I am happiest when I am able to bring value to those around me and contribute to each other's success.

Thank you for the insight,

I wish you all the best in the coming year!

Sonia, as they say, better late than never! I sincerely appreciate your words of advice, I can see how that would be a very effective buying and selling technique. At the moment I am focusing in on buying and holding, but I will most definitely capitalize on a selling deal if the return is going to be substantial! I'll do my due diligence and put some more research into this technique and again, thank you! :)

Thank you for the insight Jennifer! Once I learn the ins and outs of the business I aim to do as much as I can manage on my own; I'm sure it'll take many years of experience to develop a solid foundation, but I am looking forward to every lesson learned! I saw that your sons have a local construction business, I'll be in touch once I get the ball rolling and come across some work that I can provide them if they are in need of it!

Joshua, I have certainly found all of what you've said to be true! This community is unlike most everything I've seen in the business world; it's a breath of fresh air being a part of a collection of passionate entrepreneurs and minds who aim to help each other in their respective journeys. I feel very fortunate to have found my way here. I see your from Portland, we moved a year ago from the Vancouver area, Battle Ground to be specific, it's a great place with a lot of potential for investment!

All the best to you as well!

Greetings David!

I was just reviewing your website upon looking at local investors! I would really appreciate the opportunity to gain some insight through your experience in real estate. It's a busy time with the holidays, however after the first of the year I am available to meet whenever you may find the time.

Good day my fellow investors!

My name is Gene and I am about as green as you can get with regards to my real estate background. Cheers to the newbies! I am beyond excited for this new path in life that I stumbled upon while listening to a business podcast which ultimately led me to Bigger Pockets. I currently reside in Hayden, Idaho with my fiancé and our three children. We made the move from western WA where we both were raised to raise our family in the beautiful mountains of Idaho after taking a road trip to the area and falling in love with it

I am currently a Nursing student at NIC, with approx. 2 years left until I am licensed. My wife is also a Nurse and works at two of the local hospitals. After spending countless hours researching (as I'm sure all of you have) we've decided that we want to focus our journey with real estate investing in residential single family homes, multi-family homes and eventually apartment buildings. As of now, we own a home in Hayden which we plan to utilize for a HELOC to BRRR our first investment property, while also utilizing at least 80% of my income to further leverage our investments considering we are able to get by on one income with our current situation. Though our plan is still in its infancy, I am hoping to develop a solid foundation of knowledge in real estate over the next couple of years before hitting the market with the aims of purchasing 10 homes our first year (given we find properties that will serve our goals).

As we set out on this journey we aim to develop relationships and partnerships with those of you also pursuing this wonderful passion!

I look forward to becoming a part of this great community of people,

I hope to see you all around in the forums!
