I've always thought there could be a need for a concierge for STR owners. Pay maybe $200-500 per month and they can do check in/outs, inventory after a checkout, monitor things, be the local contact, do gifts for incoming groups, etc.

Not a property manager, just another set of eyes and ears for your property if you are out of state. Would be a nice little business for someone.

We have this person at our other out of state STR and it's been awesome for transitioning to self management!

I’m curious, what the hourly rate is that you pay for these services. I’d consider providing high quality concierge services in my local area, but my number would probably be too high for someone to want to pay, but then again with inflation, maybe my number isn’t that high.

We don't pay her an hourly rate.  We pay a $50 fee per call out.  So she's only paid for calls when she has to go to the property.  She does coordinate our cleaners, so I'm sure she takes some off the top of our $125 cleaning fee, but I don't know how much.  This is in rural MD on the Chesapeake Bay.

Currently own a STR cabin in Pigeon Forge that is being managed by a full service company for 20%. Looking to switch to self-management from out of state and want a local point of contact who can do things like verify/inspect work done by cleaners and contractors, visit the property in case of guest emergencies or contractor appointments, assist in accepting and delivering packages to replace broken or run down furnishings, etc.

Looking for recommendations and info on how much you might pay someone for such a position.  Thanks!
