@Jay Morgan Thank you. This makes sense. This is my father in law and he wants to help me and I want to give him a good return. I like this strategy or the pay interest like @Kyle J. suggested. I’ll discuss with options with my father in law and see what makes sense to him. Thank you everyone. I appreciate you. 

@Cameron Whitehead Got it. Thank you for the advice. No, $20k isn’t a great deal. I was just making up a number to see if I pay them back a percentage of the profits or interest rate on loan. Hope that makes sense. 

@Cameron Whitehead This will be a fix and flip with cash. 

@Jay Morgan For example, if relative gave me a $100k for fix and flip and we made $20k profit on the deal would you pay them 10% out of the $20k and the subsequent deals/ profits? That’s what I was thinking and wanted to see if that was fair. 

If a relative is investing $100,000 for a rehab what is a  reasonable pay back strategy? Do you pay them am interest rate for the year on $100,000 or would you pay them a certain interest percatntage per profit, per property?
