I did take my classes at Hondros up off of Massillon Rd.  I did the all day Saturday and Sundays for 6 weeks.

Just an update for all that took the time to post encouraging  comments. I sat formal licensing exam last Wednesday. I pasted with flying colors!!!  I am now a licensed real estate sales professional with DeHoff Realtors, N. Canton, Ohio.  Looking forward to going my real estate business in 2017!!!

I can see some positives to the traditional class, but for expedience, the online is the way to go. My guess is it will still be a ways out in Ohio.

Thanks for the enouragement ,  I can say in our area the realtors only seem to do open houses on Sunday. Once in a great while you may see a Saturday open house.  I have never seen a open house Monday - Friday in this area.  I wish they would.  I would be happy to sit open houses in the evenings.

Currently in the Ohio legislature there is a bill (HB 532) which will allow people to do their Pre-Licensing classes online.  It has easily passed through the House and is now in the Senate.  It seems like all the realtor association support it. Interestingly, there are 37 other states that allow online instruction.

So I would like to ask the licensed realtors in the community what they think about this?

I would also like to say I am not just picking real estate out of the air. I truly love homes / real estate and helping people.  Oh and did I mention I have many years experience negoiating corporate contracts :) 

Currently I am looking at taking my pre license class to become a real estate sale agent (realtor).  In my current position I work from home 7-4.  I can take calls, make call, fax, email, any web related activities and have the limited ability to get out for an hour at a time. I also have evening and all weekends free. What worries me is that I go through the classes and not be able to find a broker that will take me on as I would have to be part time. My current job is great but I am afraid that I see the writing on the wall....  

Please let me know if you think that becoming a part time realtor (at first) is feasible and if a broker would want a part time realtor such as myself...
