@Dustin Mathenia thank you for the feedback. I will give this some thought.

@Tom S. Agreed. When I start to think about the particulars and eventualities, adding a third party to the mix seems like more trouble than it is worth.

@Jaysen Medhurst In short, nievete. That’s why I asked the question. The buyers told me they would like for me to maintain control of the building and that they only wanted to hold it for future use. So, if everyone was in agreement, I would pursue the offer.

I have a commercial space that I plan to seller finance to a growing local business owner. I have received a first draft of the Letter of Intent and I am curious if as the owner of the building I would maintain the right to rent to a third party? Is that done? The buyer wants to lock in the property for future use and does not have plans currently to occupy the space.

Hi there! I’m sitting on a commercial space that I feel is

my shot into real estate investing. I can rent it or sell it.. currently available for either having listed it 9 months ago with little activity. I’ve expanded my knowledge base, with the help of DP, while being a SAHM and running a small business. So, armed with a good balance of inspiration and sage wisdom, I hope to blaze a new path for myself and my family. I will let you know how things turn out. 😉
