I would be interested also. I am also in Prince William County, Woodbridge area.

We could even do meetings in peoples homes? That way we could spend as much time as we want, get to know each other and everyone's neighborhoods. Everyone could bring something to eat/drink, sort of like a potluck.

Hey guys, I have been reading, watching podcasts, doing all the small bits and pieces I can to begin my wonderful journey into Real Estate.

I was a realtor at the age of 18 in 2005 but after only selling three homes to family members and not having enough networking capabilities I gave it up and went  to work for my fathers landscaping company for 10 yrs. (regret that big time) I am now 30 yrs old, have a single family house in Dale City that we just bought last year for our growing family with a wife and two kids, ages 2 and 3, boy and girl.

I work as an IT Contractor at the Department of Labor in Washington DC. I have been in this corporate environment for almost two yrs now and it is killing me slowly, I am anxiously wanting to get into Real Estate to be able to quit my job and be my own boss. I have been looking a lot into house flipping vs all the other roads there are in real estate.

I sold my townhouse last yr and with the money I made from that I was able to pay off all the debts I had including both of our cars and some home improvement projects, keeping only my home as my only real debt. I was also able to open my own small business two months ago, The Smart Home Wizard LLC, which provides the ability to create smart homes for everyday people who still see smart home devices as complicated and hard to do. Ever since I bought my new house I became obsessed with doing home projects myself and began building a small collection of tools and doing anything handy that I can myself. I will attach a picture of my set up below =)

Unfortunately getting rid of all our debt also left us without any money so now we are focusing on building up our wealth to be able to pursue the dream in real estate.

Although there was an article by BP about 6 reasons to NOT get your RE license, which made me doubt if I should get it or not, I decide to take the leap and get it again anyways. I do not like relying on other agents or anyone to let me in homes or wait for their responses, I like things done quick and in this industry it works well and wouldnt be able to trust anyone but myself.

I hope I am able to get to know some local members and be able to create a future in this high paced, fun, exciting environment!
