You can make it happen. People do it all the time. Try and get some trustworthy people to help along the way.

So I'm really pushing in on the door to financial independence. I recently just broke out of my comfort zone and started talking to friends, family and associates about investing in real estate or flipping properties with me . I definitely got a bunch of no's and some people just changed the subject on me. To my surprise I got a yes from a previous employer. He said he is interested in flipping and is open to go into a partnership with me as long as its a profitable deal. I have no idea of what to do now. Should I look for a property now? I already have a criteria and I know my area pretty well but I'm stuck and don't want to miss my opportunity.

I'm a maintenance technician in the residential apartment area and I have had the opportunity to work in all areas of building maintenance, from luxury high rises to low income homes. I have a passion for real estate. I want to dive in right now, but I took a huge point loss on my credit (which I've been building for a while) and now my score sucks, a really low number. I want to get started. I am barely making it financially so saving money especially the amount I need for my first investment property will take at least two years and I don't want to wait that long. what should someone with low income starting from scratch do? I want only multi family buildings that cash flow from the start. what do I need to do to get that first 3-4 family building? is lease option a good choice? seller financing? something has to give because I'm ready for a change. Any comments or advise I greatly appreciated. thanks

Hello everyone, I'm looking to get started in rei in Connecticut. Is there anyone who can give me some info regarding wholesaling in the Hartford county area? what are some do's and don'ts. Are bandit signs illegal? If you are a local in Hartford county and you have done some wholesaling here please don't hesitate to respond. Any and all advice welcomed. Links to some great websites for info or articles would be nice too.

Hello BP members I have some questions regarding wholesaling. So far the things I have heard about wholesaling are all negative and this bothers me mostly because I'm interested in starting my investment career this way. Here are some questions:

1. In order to get started, what should I do first?

2. How much does the start up cost?

3. Do I need a attorney?

4. Where do I get the proper blank forms/contracts  from?

5. Do I need to start a llc?

6. How does virtual wholesaling work?

Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated.
