Hi Mike, welcome. I used to live in Fredericksburg, VA and Miami, FL; not too far from your locations. I am getting into rental properties and tax lien certificates. I also used to work for the DOD as an Engineer.

What is the deal with homes prices for $1,000 - $2,000 on Zillow on open market? Are these for real? Do they probably have major problems or where they typos from realtors? Are they worth pursuing at all? Your advice would be appreciated.

I am a physician assistant hospitalist from Dallas, TX; married with our first 3 month old child. I've always wanted to get into real estate investing and the time is now. I came across Sean Terry's Flip2Freedom academy though podcasts and I'm hooked. Just started my own company and getting ready to make my first wholesale deal. I intend to grow my business to free my wife from her job and give us a comfortable live style and financial security.
