Hey! It seems like most loan companies offer construction loans for properties that are up to two units with preference for owner-occupied properties. Do you guys know of any loan companies that would fund a 3-unit investment construction? I’m interested in a dilapidated 3-story brick shell and would probably need $300,000 to build it out. Thank you!

Hey Forum! My partner @Paul Dante Pronio and I are forming our first joint LLC and have a quick question about EIN filing. We got to the page that says:

Due to the number of members in your LLC, you are considered a Multi-Member Limited Liability Company (LLC) as the type of structure applying for an EIN.

Since you are a multi-member LLC, we must initially classify you as a partnership. If you do not wish to accept the default classification of partnership, you can:

If you need to change your type of structure, we recommend that you do so now, otherwise you will have to start over and re-enter your information. Additional help may be found by reviewing all types of organizations and structures before making your selection

Do you recommend that we stick with the LLC or select corporate/S corporation status?

Thank you so much!!!!

Thanks @Peter M.! Do you have any experience with series LLCs? I’m interested in that structure.

Hey community! New here. I recently formed an LLC for a clothing startup I'm working on. I used the NAICS code for clothing manufacturing. I was hoping I could use this same LLC to make my first purchase of rental property. Do I need to create a new LLC, or can I do multiple types of business under the same LLC? Thank you!
