Quote from @Kim Tucker:

For Kansas City I have set my key word tool to alert me when ever there is a post about Kansas City, then I can see who talks about KC and connect that way.

Also look at the meetups page here, and watch for events in your area.

You could also go to meetup.com and look for events, facebook, linkedin and even National REIA. I'm pretty sure there are groups that meet regularly in Dallas, but where and how far from you, might be the bigger question.

 Kim,

I will definitely check out these site for possible meet up opportunities. I appreciate the help!

Quote from @Hoa Nguyen:

Local public events sponsored by brokerages are a great option. Community-driven brokerages like Keller Williams or EXP will often host monthly public education and connecting events. I find that these events are great oppurtunites to grow you sphere in regards to real estate professionals. You'll meet other investors, agents, contractors, lenders, and more!

Outside of that, many cities and counties will have investor groups on Facebook. Just search " _________ City investors"

Growing your network relies on you taking the steps to get out there!

Amazing, thanks so much! I will be looking to attend these events in the near future!

Hi Everyone!

I am new to the DFW area and have started a career in insurance! I'm originally from Philadelphia, PA, and went to school at the University of Missouri - I was a student-athlete on the track and field team. I earned my MBA while competing and working; it was an insane 5 years to say the least. Also looking for some tips and advice on the best ways to reach new people in a city/state that I have zero connections in (I love a good challenge).  Would love to connect via Linkedin and other platforms.

Thanks in advance for the help!
