Welcome to the Wake Forest area; I love it here. The Multi world is hot right now so if you can find something off market that makes sense jump on it! 

$200-$250k is really tough in the Raleigh market right now as we consistently have multiple offers and high due diligence fees which is buyer's out of pocket money at the time of contract acceptance. I'd recommend going online to see if you can find info on how many ppl are looking for a one bedroom in the areas you're interested in and price points. Maybe try C*list / rooms wanted. 

Happy to email you some homes in the Raleigh/Cary/RTP area within that budget so you can see what kind of properties are for sale. Are you looking for a single family that you rent out to roommates or a multifamily situation? 

Every multi I've shown in the last few months have had a line of agents waiting at the door to get in. Strong demand and multiple offers.
