Brian thank you for your insights! You made some really good points. The house has two kitchens already but one laundry unit. It could probably be turned into duplex. Ex tenant was saying that sound proofing is not great  since he was hosting Airbnb guests downstairs. That could be a problem for a duplex. We would not sell it as of now. Maybe next year in the spring. We are currently trying to sell our townhome in West Seattle (not going too well). My other fears with continuing to rent it is with probably not best tenants and Covid, they might stop paying and we can’t evict during Covid.
We are looking into flipping it by renovating it and possibly selling it next year. We can live there during renovations, fingers crossed our west Seattle home sells. Question is how much money should we put into it. Also, finding contractor had been an experience :(

I appreciate your feedback! We don’t have much experience with real estate yet. I am a psych nurse and my husband is data analyst. Definitely learning a lot.

We are debating what to do with this property: it’s our first investment property. It was rented when we bought it and the tenant was supposed to lease for 3 years. And then Covid happened. Tenant stoped paying, we had to get a lawyer. Definitely too much for the first land-lording experience. Tenant moved out and we just took over the property about a week ago. It needs some work done. And we are debating if we should remodel and sell it or continue trying to rent it. It’s a big house that can accommodate multiple renters. However, even before renting I think we would still need to renovate as everything is outdated. I am including Redfin listing. Would love to hear others opinions. Thank you in advance.

@Michael Haas

Thank you for your reply Michael! Sorry it took me some time to get back here.
I have dropped the price twice already. It’s listed at 575k right now. Here is a listing if you have a minute to take a look at it.

Thank you!

Hello,

I am looking to see if anyone here is familiar with Seattle real estate market specifically West Seattle. We have been trying to sell our 2 bed 1.75 bath townhome with no success. It has been listed for 57 days and we are considering delisting it. The bridge closure created a lot of traffic issues and it looks like not many people want to live here anymore. Would love to hear others feedback on West Seattle situation.
Thank you in advance,

Elina
