@Michael Baum makes sense. I think Utah county area. Provo up to Lehi is where I’m thinking. Still looking but just wanted to see how to see if the numbers work. Still trying to learn how to run numbers and I know this is a unique situation. Thanks for the advice

What are the tools you guys are using to run the numbers on something like this?

Is it possible to cash flow on a 5+ 3+ bath in utah county area?

Have a long term renter in basement and airbnb the top part for 10 months out of the year?

@Joe Aiola thank you so much! Yes I’m looking to rent the basement out for privacy as well room for. Y family upstairs. So you think it’s better to house hack rather than move from town home to town home renting them out?

I’m looking to get into my first home. I want to find a home where I can live in the top and rent the basement. Would it be better to find a home like that or buy a townhome live in it for a year then rent it out then buy another townhome and continue to do that over the years building up a portfolio?

First time home buyer. Want to rent out the bottom and live in the top, but don’t know when is the best time to get something in terms of the market?
