Post: Problem Contacting Owner

Hello!
I’ve found a distressed property while driving & I want to contact the owner but they are not living in the property. I tried to use Propstream to skip trace it but it couldn’t provide me with a number or email for the owner. How do I get around this? I’m still learning & would love some help with this issue!

Quote from @Jonathan Klemm:

Hey there @Elias Ramirez - Congrats for hopping in the forums and getting your first post up!  It's not easy and 100% a step in the right direction!

My biggest suggestion would be to find some local meetups (https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/521-real-estate-events-...) and introduce yourself to the host.  Ask them who is doing the most moving and shaking and connect with those people.  Take them out to lunch or coffee (forsure pay!) and see what skills you might have to add some value as a side hustle.

Things started to happen organically as I got more involved in the Chicago real estate market, and I am confident they will for you, too, in Seattle!

Hi Jonathan - Thank you for this advice & sharing some of your personal experience! I’ll do well with it!

I’ve been learning about wholesaling for a couple months now & I’m starting to look for my first deal. This isn’t the end goal for me but just the beginning as I get my feet wet in the real estate world. I’m seeking anyone who could be a mentor/coach, someone I can shadow, or someone I can reach out to just to pick their brain. I’m determined to grind & learn!
