Hey Matt thanks for reaching out, I'm currently in Des Moines County which is SE Iowa. It's a very small market which doesn't seem to be growing much. I'm looking to move to a bigger market like Cedar Rapids or Des Moines here in a couple month.

Hello everyone my name is Elmar Deshae and I'm 22 located in SE Iowa. I am brand new to real estate and am currently pursuing the wholesale strategy to build my cash reserves so that I can fund my own deals in the future. My first step is paying off my student loans which is only $7K and then I will buy my first investment which will be a Multifamily unit that I can "House Hack" .My overall goal is to not only own a great deals of rentals but to one day develop my own projects. As a kid I was always fascinated by real estate but it wasn't until last year when I read "Rich Dad Poor Dad" that I learned the benefits of owning assets like Real Estate. I would love to connect with like minded individuals not only located in Iowa but anyone who has helpful information for my Journey! I would love to hear other people's story of how they got started and what are your overall goals?

Hello everyone I'm not located in Des Moines the city but Des Moines the County. It's smaller than Des Moines the city but there's deals here. I've lived here my whole life so I know the market well, a majority of the properties are fixer uppers. There's also a lot of landlords who don't take care of their tentans and properties in this market but continue to raise rents. If your somebody who's looking for cheap fixer uppers and will take care of your tentans then this small market is for you! I'm new to investing so I'm using wholesaling as a way to build my cash so that I can buy and hold properties in the market myself.

Hello my name is Elmar Deshae I'm 21 living in Southeast Iowa. I'm brand new to the Real Estate field also new to the Bigger Pockets community, I've been listening to the podcast for a few months but this is my first time posting. I'm looking to start wholesaling properties in Iowa and reinvest the money that I make into properties of my own for long term wealth. I was wondering if anybody could help me by explaining if wholesaling is legal in Iowa? Is it legal to put houses under contract or do I just have to bring deals to buyers without any paperwork as a bird dog. I appreciate the feedback in advance, I definitely will be posting more in the future. Thanks for your time!
