Post: How can I be the first lien holder?

Hi everyone,
I'm currently a 60% investor on a rental property out in California and was wondering how I can be setup as the first lien holder on the property? Do I need a trustee even though the property is 100% paid for? I'm only expecting to hold the property with this group until the tenants vacate and then they can sell, so I'm not looking for monthly payments, just the profits after the property is sold.
Thanks...

Thanks Charles,

You're 100% right. There is so much knowledge here at Bigger Pockets and ideas. I'm sure I'll find partners and contacts as I build my portfolio.

Thanks again,

Bobby

Hello All,

My name is Bobby W., I am 42 and live in NY/NJ. Late last year I invested in two properties out west which return a great profit. Now, I'm researching if it is possible to do the same here in the NYC area if I use the same business model (Partners = Realtor, Contractor, Investor)?
The investments were both condos we purchased at an auction then painted and sold.

Found Biggerpockets while doing research and realized this is a fantastic site with lots of knowledge.

Thanks,

Bobby
