Hey BP community, I was wondering what you guys think about short sale properties? After doing some research many people have commented that it can be quite a hassle and it takes a lot of due diligence to make sure everything is right. Any advice one these type of sales?

Hey BP community, Ive recently started getting into learning about RE investing and thanks for BP I've been finding great info. As I'm starting out, the one thing I've been doing these past few weeks is been "driving around for dollars" in the NW suburbs area of Illinois and doing research online. One thing I can say is that the more I drive, the more "For Sale" signs I see and Ive realized that there are more homes for sale than I imagined.  Ive managed to come across a couple of great deals out there but now I really don't know where to take the next step as far as getting financing, hard money, or private lender. Any advice?

Hey BP community, anyone from Illinois know any RE meets going on in May here in Illinois, primarily in the Chicagoland-Suburbs area?

I would like to build a house on it or if i can find a good decent size Lot then maybe some duplexes or triplexes for rentals

So I've been doing research lately and "driving for dollars" especially around the St. Charles, IL area.  I saw a few Lots for sale and I was wondering if anybody here knows whats a good price for a Lot in that area? Ive seen a wide range of prices per acre and all in a particular area so I'm not sure what exactly is a good deal  

Hello everyone from BP, Im very excited to have joined the community.  I've always had an interested for RE but never was able to find a good place with good information and didn't know anybody who i can ask a lot of questions about RE. A while back I came across Bigger Pockets on Youtube and from there I was just hooked on all the good insight with the many guests and their real life experiences which just made me wanna learn more and more about RE. Some of my goals right now is to be able to meet people (preferably from the Chicagoland area) and build relationships and create future partnerships with like minded people. Also build new skills and be able to bring value to the table whenever new opportunities come through and create success. Im very excited and looking forward to meeting new people in here.
