Hi all,

I just purchased a condo unit a few months ago and was able to rent the place out. A few months in now, my downstair neighbor mentioned that the previous owner made an arrangement with them and said they can do a sound test inside the unit. I allowed them to come in to completed the sound test, now the test result is saying that the sound proofing in the floor/ceiling assembly is not up to building code. I am not sure what to do next, especially now that I have a tenant in the unit. Looking to see if there are any legal advise or any general advice.

@Maxwell Ventura thanks for the reply and that makes a lot of sense. I was thinking these options as a super hands off investment (and also the location seems great), but with all the fees I understand why it is not worth it.

I came across these listings where you can purchase a unit in a hotel, in this case is the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego. Have anyone had any experiences in these type of deals? If so, can you provide any details and thoughts that you have?

I am trying to get advice on getting either a Heloc or DSCR loan (welcome other suggestions). I currently have a condo in NY that is fully paid off and I am hoping to get a Heloc or DSCR to get some cash out to get a rental property in either Texas or Arkansas. Looking for advice on the best way to do this .
