Thanks everyone for the kind introduction.

@J. Martin, I appreciate the invite to the Bay Area meetup and I definitely look forward to coming and meeting everyone. If you have time, I would love to chat with you for 15-20 minutes.

As for my investment interests, I would like to start small (e.g. duplex or multiplex units). I would be intrigued to team up with trusted investors. If anyone has suggestions on how to begin, I am all ears!

Hello everyone. I am a young and interested investor in the Bay Area. I would love to get any advice, learn, and potentially network with local investors. If you have any insight, please feel free to share or contact me personally? Thanks!

@Sharon Tzib Thank you for your input. I will certainly look into that area. I went to UC Davis for undergrad so I am quite familiar with the landscape there.

From your experience, do people typically partner with others on this website or is more so for advice and sharing experiences?

Thank you all. I really appreciate the input. I have started reading about the topics that biggerpockets.com has to offer.

If you do not mind me asking, what were your first investments and how did you go about making the leap into the market?

Hello Everyone,

I am very new in the real estate world. My background is in Civil Engineering. On top of working in the engineering world, I am interested in investing in real estate in the local area. If possible, I would greatly appreciate any input or advice that people in the community could provide me. I have considered obtaining my real estate license but wondering if what would be the value for me?

Thank you for your help,

Edward Gorbis
