Interested in how some of you get around the face-to-face and the emergency contact (show up within 1 hour) requirements in Big Bear. I know this is the "Palm Springs" thread but I'm still debating if I should buy my first STR in Palm Springs or Big Bear. Based on the restrictions, Big Bear seem more manageable.

@Nadia O. Cathedral City is phasing out short-term rentals.  Palm Desert has banned the vast majority of short-term rentals, R1 and most other zoning is a no-go.  La Quinta has temporarily stopped accepting new vacation rental applications, and the #1 issue for most of the candidates running for La Quinta City Council is the short-term rental issue.  Indio is considering changing their ordinance regarding music/noise outside at vacation rentals.  There's a lot going on!

Post: Real Estate Attorney Recommendations in LA or OC Area

Hi All - I've read in other posts that it's always best to consult with an attorney to draft a real estate partnership agreement rather than download a template online. Instead of relying on Yelp or Google reviews I thought I'd check here first.

Can anyone recommend an attorney in the Los Angeles or Orange County area that's experienced drafting these types of agreements?

This will be my first real estate investment so really trying to do this right from the beginning.

Cheers,
