Being in college now I've just been reading a couple books that where recommended to me on long term real estate growth, fortunately I have a housemate at school that has similar aspirations and we've both decided to go for our licenses next summer, one of his Father's close friends owns a brokerage in Hackensack New Jersey and has offered to provide us help in the past. Teaming up with my housemate has made it easier for me to motivate myself to get the license earlier than I had originally planned and also could provide a place of employment with his Father's close friend (apparently they've grown close over time as well). So as of now I'm focusing on getting the license and taking more Real Estate classes at school to gain more knowledge on pretty much any aspect of Real Estate cause It'll all help in the future. Also saving every penny I can of course. I'm glad there's still life on my post haha, can't wait to start reading up more on this site again. @Kenisha Forbes

Does anyone know anything about starting an actual real estate investment firm? Like hiring analysts and such to find properties for you? Maybe I'm just not finding anything because I'm using the wrong wording. If you understand what I mean, could you walk me through the process and provide me with your personal experience starting one. Answers are greatly appreciated.

I currently have a job at a restaurant(that's how I got the 3400) and I do make good grades. As far as my planned investing for out of college I have all those calculations done. But I'll throw around some numbers to see what I can achieve now.

Does anyone have any tips for getting like a secretary job or any entry level job at a firm? Does anyone know a good firm to try to get a job at close to NJ (I am more the willing to commute to NYC, in fact I would prefer it)

Janna M. How often do you have to go down to Georgia to "check in" ?

I think what I'll end up doing is visiting a couple real estate investing club meetings and network and see if a firm will give me a job as a coffee kid or a secretary or something. That would be great
