Can a person who has multiple 5-10 single family homes that are on conventional mortgages transfer them into an LLC for the protection?

Hello All,

Looking to educate myself on the buy and hold strategy with rental properties. Any books/ audio books I should check out for beginners. I have one property that use to be my primary residence which I’m currently renting out. Doesn’t cash flow much but I do have someone paying down my mortgage that was once under water. Any recommendations?
