Quote from @River Sava:

Hey Eddy, welcome to BP!

I'm not too far away in Charlotte and would love to connect and help navigate first steps with you

Thank you!! right now I'm stuck as I am paying off debts of improvements/repairs I've made to my home. Its looking to be about 18 months until I am debt free except my home. Are there other options that allow me to be able to get the financing to buy a cheap rental property sooner rather then later? Is it worth it or am I better waiting to improve my finances?

Quote from @Logan Singleton:

Good morning, Eddy. My name is Logan, and I'm a hard money lender. I'd be happy to answer any financing questions you might have.

Hey Logan, Well I'm a Assistant project manger by day, married and have kids, I'm a Veteran, typical family guy. My questions is from all these podcast and videos I have been listening to there are apparently options for acquiring finances? I currently own a home but do not have the finances myself as I am currently just paying off debts at the moment to put me in a better situation. What are my options if I want to but a fixer upper so that I can rent it out?

Hello Community, My name is Eddy,

I live in the Raleigh-Garner area, and I am a beginner real estate investor wanting to join local real estate networking or educational events. I desire to learn from the well-seasoned and knowledgably professionals in the area. Currently just trying to network and learn while I take care of finances to allow investing in the near future. I have a construction background in multifamily so I have connections with contractors that may help in the future. Any loan financing advice for a starter is welcome!
