@Paul Moore, yes indeed!  I've been here for about 5 years now and I love everything except the snow!  Fortunately it only sticks around for a few months a year.

How's the investing over in Virginia?

@Paul Moore

Fargo, ND is not the same as ND as a whole, just so you are aware.  The Fargo/Moorhead (MN) Metro consistently remains a great place to invest in real estate no matter what is happening out West with the oil.  In fact, when the oil prices drop and the workers get laid off, they come to Fargo searching for work, and thus need housing.  Even in 'down times' Fargo has historically been good.  It is important to make this distinction rather than lumping the entire state together.

@Chris T.

Great advice on looking at economic trends to determine demand!

Also, I love seeing ND come up in forum posts!

I wanted to make sure that there is no confusion when it comes to North Dakota and the oil.  It is important to mention whenever this comes up that the oil boom/bust has not had a negative impact on the Eastern half of the state.  In fact, when the prices dropped, many of those oil workers either went back to the Southern states, or made their way East to Fargo.  Fargo has actually grown and seen an increase in demand for housing with a simultaneous decrease in unemployment, which was already ridiculously low, since the oil 'bust'.  Being that I live and invest in Fargo, ND/Moorhead, MN, I have made it my duty to spread the importance of this distinction because I run into far too many out of state investors that associate ALL of ND and it's RE markets with the success of the Western ND oil industry.

Hello!

Has anyone used 'thewholesalerstoolbox.com' to purchase vacant property lists, code violation lists, probate lists, & investor lists?  I would be interested to learn about how it turned out; I would also be interested to know of any other places that might be better to obtain such lists?

Thanks!
