@Tamara Deering

I didn’t mean listed houses and prices.

I meant like the more in-depth numbers

Like job outlooks, renter vs owner, typical rent prices for 1,2,3 bedrooms, population growth.

What are the sources to find this kind of information and what are the main points investors use in deciding a good vs a bad buy

I have recently decided I want to be an investor.

I have been reading books, listening to podcasts, and reading articles here and there.

But I want to be able to research my local markets and know what I am looking for.

Can anyone help with what sources they use for researching their markets and what are some of the factors your really like to keen in on?

Thank you in advance!

@Jake Culler

Thanks Jake I appreciate it!

@Fred Allen

Hey I’m sorry I’m just seeing this, thanks for responding!

@Nathan Milazzo.

Awesome Nathan! I just sent you a connection request. We will definitely have to get in touch

What’s up y’all? I live in the Baton Rouge / Prairieville area and was just hoping to connect with others from around here. I have yet to make any investments and it is due to me still in the preparations/learning stages. So I obviously don’t have much to offer others but I would love to hear about your experiences in this area.

PS-I would love to meet an investing partner with experience; so we could work a few deals together. Nothing scares me more than jumping into a deal with no hands on experience.

@Paul Chenuau

I’m in the area, but i don’t consider myself and investor(yet). Just getting started and still trying to do my homework before jumping in.

@Scott Meyers

Yeah, it appears you just pay a little more for the home with a contract to use them as the management company.

It seems good for those buying property out of state, but I just imagine they nickel and dime you with faux charges just to feed their machine.

@Will Fraser thanks will! Sorry, it took so long to respond. I thought I would receive notifications when someone replied.

I have several friends interested in investing, but you always hear people say not to get into business with friends.
