@John Whitfield Congrats! I’m hoping to buy a duplex this year as well. I’m interested in hearing the numbers you worked out. Anyways, experience level doesn’t bother me at all, I’m just looking to be able to talk real estate and build a relationship with some people!

Is anyone looking for another person to talk real estate to, or need an accountability partner? Id like to find an investor around St. Charles/St. Louis that is looking for another friend basically! I don’t have many like-minded people around me, and I’d like to start being around/talking with other investors and possibly go to meet ups together and things of that sort. We could bounce ideas off each other, as I may have skills you don’t, and vice versa. Don’t hesitate to reach out for anything! Thank you

I’m looking in St. Charles as well and possibly have a few leads, if it doesn’t work out with me I’m sure they’d appreciate me passing it on to someone else who can maybe work with it. I have one property I’m rehabbing right now I’ll have close to the 2% rule on and all I did was walk up to the home owners and start talking!

@Lee Judd Thank you so much! It makes me feel a bit more comfortable knowing that all that won’t be seen as unnecessary. I appreciate your time, and good luck with your endeavors!

@Lee Judd Are you fond of charts and visuals in someone’s presentation? I’ve heard on the podcast they say it is beneficial to help people understand the numbers better.

@Ashley Kehr Them offering me the options is a key point I'm glad you mentioned. This definitely helped me out with my current SFH, and it's easy to overlook. Thank you for the advice! It's pretty cool seeing the a host of the one of podcasts interacting with the newbies like myself.

When reaching out to a mortgage lender prior to a hard money deal, what are some of the things you like to ask or some of the things that have tipped the scales in your favor?

I have been banking with a local credit union for about 4.5 years, and I have a mortgage that’s not with them. I’m planning on going and talking to one of their loan officers about my future plans, and asking what they need from me to finance a small multi family (duplex). I’m hoping I can leverage my existing mortgage and refinance with them so they can get a piece of the cake. Any tips/advice is appreciate! Thank you in advance.

@Brenden Mitchum I literally just made my account and it was pretty much for this reason. I’m so interested in getting into a smaller park (10-15 lots), I had to find out more after hearing them talk about it on the podcast! I’m very new to the Bigger pockets community but I’m pretty excited to learn more.
