Newbie here too.  I just finished up the UBG today.  I'm excited to get started as well, but I know there's a lot more to learn about (marketing, financing, etc) and things I still need to (create a business plan).  So personally I'm not jumping immediately to the whole website, domain, and business name until I understand what exactly I'm trying to accomplish.

Hi all,

For a couple of years I've been daydreaming of starting as a fix and flipper or holding rental properties with the end goal of replacing my day to day income.   I've been in IT for the last 20 years and am ready for a career change.

I've been following Mark Ferguson's ventures over at InvestFourMore which led me to BiggerPockets. Being a flat-out newbie I know there's a lot I don't know and I'm hoping to learn a lot from my fellow BPers. Joshua Dorkin and Brandon Turner's primer on REI has really piqued my interest and has demonstrated that investing in real estate isn't as daunting as I always feared. Being an IT System Administrator, systematic research, analysis, and planning with Plan A, B, and C are up my alley.
