Tom Cafarella Daniel Hyman Great, awesome advice. Now do you have any examples you can share with me on what a personally drafted agreement would look like? Of course, there could be several different ways agreements can be laid out but I'd like to see an example of one so I can have a general idea of how I would format it, if possible. Thanks!

A friend and I are looking to partner up on some projects when we are ready to pull the trigger (he will help with the financing and I will find the deals) before we do anything what legal steps do we need to take because of the partnership we agreed on?

Hey everyone, I am a student at the University of Washington Tacoma and I would love to learn as much as I can about real estate investment.

I came across bigger pockets about a month ago and I became excited about getting into REI. Since then ive been listening to podcasts, reading books, and doing extensive research online when im not in school. ive learned quite a bit over the last month and I will continue to learn as much as I can on my own. I am currently looking for a mentor who can help me fill in the gaps of what it takes to be a smart investor so if you have even a little bit of experience under your belt, it would be great to learn a thing or two about your experience! Thank you!

@Bryan O. sorry I probably should have been a little bit more clear, many people on the podcasts have talked about getting a closing attorney before you close a deal, but i guess my question is if it is necessary to have a closing attorney if you are already working with an agent, shouldnt my realtor be the one to make sure everything will go smoothly when closing?

If I am new to REI and want to purchase a property to flip, should I find an attorney for this process? if so should i find one before I do anything or when the property is ready to sell? what would be the most important role of an attorney in this case?

I am new to REI but I dont have a job or have built enough credit to take out loans in order to finance properties (but I do have some money saved up). My question is that if I had my parents back me financially or "co-sign" on the loan, could that allow the bank or credit union to allow me to take out a loan?
