Hi,

My name is Zach and I've been interested in gaining some new practical knowledge & experience into how one actually gets started in REI. I'm new to the forums and haven't been very active. I discussed some oppurtunities with a buddy and we got close-ish to taking the plunge but then chickened out. I guess What I'm most interested in is someone to help me understand how you muster up the courage to take that first step.

So far I've enjoyed everything I've heard and seen in the bigger pockets expanded universe and I'm looking to keep growing my knowledge so I can finally become a real estate investor.

So after being strung along by a local credit union for 3 months my long term financing fell through on my fully rented and rehabbed mixed use commercial/residential building. Now I am in need of someone who can provide a true DSCR loan. Every bank I have talked to so far wants to include my personal income in the cash flow. This is a 2 story building with apartments upstairs and retail shops downstairs. NOI is $3500/month currently although it was only $3100/month officially for the last 12 months as all of the upgrades were not complete and it was not fully rented until August of 2024. I am seeking a private or hard money lender to finance the acquisition and rehabilitation of a single-family home in Youngstown, OH. The property is currently under contract.
