@Chris Martin, I keep up with my mileage on a spreadsheet.  I have been keeping my gas receipts as proof of expenses.  But it sounds like that isn't necessary.

@David M.  I do use standard mileage rate method.

    When I do my taxes, it asks if I have proof of expenses.  I just assumed I had to keep my gas receipts.  Is this not the case?

    Has anyone found a fuel card that you can input your mileage?  I'd love to get rid of my receipts.
