I am interested in using my current IRA funds without tax consequences of early withdrawal. I

am curious what custodians are recommended for checkbook self-directed IRA's. Looking for

those who have or are currently using this method of funding real estate and can provide feedback

on good/bad experiences.

You can also look into Home Warranties that will cover HVAC for an additional fee.  I don't see that as a long term solution but it can work for a year or two until you are ready to replace yourself.  If it goes bad under warranty they will replace.  Need to ensure though your HVAC coverage is inclusive for replacement.

I recently left the mortgage industry as an executive after 30 years.  I am looking forward to learning and participating in the buying, renting and selling of real estate properties as an investor.
