Nashville or Tennessee investors. Any recommendation on any books, articles or blog about how to run a small business? I understand the basics, however I want to make sure I am doing everything correctly. For example starting payroll, filling W-9 for independent contractors, tax rules, bookkeeping e.t.c? small business for dummies was helpful, and I want to see if there are any other recommendations. Thanks for the great input everyone! its much appreciated. The reason the area peaked my interest is because of Austin Peay University, along with the new and upcoming Google data center. I noticed that properties were relatively cheaper there, and I am trying to see if it will be anything like East Nashville, where houses were dirt cheap even 5-10 years ago before appreciation. Given the rapid growth of Nashville, people may get displaced and start commuting from outskirts of the city which includes Clarksville and Dickson. I didnt hear anything about the base closing, but then again, I am not very familiar with the area, and still doing my research.  

Hello everyone, I am a new investor recently moved to Nashville from Philadelphia. Big fan of BP and after listening to all their podcasts, decided to join the site and get connected. I have recently joined REINtn and looking forward to my next meeting. 

I am interested in Nashville and Clarksville area and going to start looking in Dickson area soon. Interested in long term buy and hold rentals. Any help/tip is appreciated. Currently under contract for two parcels of land in Clarksville, which I am looking to develop in the future.

Anyone here from Clarksville? Any speculation on growth to the area? I have been looking around downtown, but should I be looking somewhere else? I look forward to hearing from you all!

Can anyone from the Nashville area recommend any REA, organization or clubs? I m in the Nashville area and looking for buy and hold rental properties on outskirts of Nashville. I would like to get involved and any help is appreciated.
