Hi everyone!

I am currently taking the advice of core value number 6 and jumping into Biggerpockets with both feet by becoming active!

My name is Dustin Markwell and I live in Louisville, Kentucky. I joined Biggerpockets literally 37 minutes ago! I am 23 years old and I am currently a student at the University of Louisville studying anthropology. I graduate in Dec. of 2014 and have decided Real-estate is what I want to do with the rest of my life! I've had a passion for real-estate ever since I was about 10 years old and I used to drive around with my father on Sundays and sneak into New construction homes and just be nosey. I bought my first house when I was 19 years old and after 2 years of residence by myself and friends on month to month contracts I now maintain and manage that property with real tenants and a little bit of positive cash flow.

I am a very quick and eager motivated learner with passion and excitement flowing! I not only love real-estate business/investment but also remodeling and am very handy! (I plan on doing the remodeling in my fix and flips and hybrid fix and holds myself!) I am inexperienced but am working toward obtaining my real-estate license and home inspection certification. I am very detail oriented and love to critique so I feel inspection is right up my alley not only for my own endeavors but also on the side for others as well. Long term goals include obtaining a diverse portfolio that includes a variety of investments including buy and holds, fix and flips, hybrid fix and holds, landlords and multifamily, a vacation time-share and eventually some commercial deals as well.
