I don't have anything going right now. Due to going off to college I have not had the ability to make local contacts that would assist in getting this going. I have a few individuals, who are basically in the same boat I am, who are interested in working together but we all want to know more about what to expect and the processes.

One big worry that was brought up recently was dealing with the the Capital Gains taxes on flips, which is the method we are looking at to increase our capital. This money would then be used to invest in rental property, which has its own set of codes and regulations that we need to know more about. I've begun looking at a lot of the information throughout this forum, but am interested if there is any particular place I have overlooked that focuses on rental property management. I've been told not to even try getting into RE due to the current market and low quality of renters.

Thank you for your greetings and I look forward to getting to know this community better. I've started to look through the great information you have to offer here and intend on following up with some of the recommendations for research that I have seen around the site; which seems to have been nicely summarized by @Shawn Holsapple

I am definitely interested in learning what property management has to offer. Some of the companies I have seen seem to have very reasonable prices, while most are not compelled to share their prices, which leads me to believe they are not the most competitive. The future I expect to have in RE would be greatly benefited by the use of a property manager, I don't want to be like my grandfather who is overwhelmed by doing all of the management and construction tasks pretty much on his own.

I greatly look forward to looking deeper into what this site has to offer and getting to know this great community.

I am new to real estate in all forms. I have had limited interaction with fixing up rental properties, which was primarily focused on painting and rubbish removal. I am a 23 year old Graduate Student, studying Civil Engineering. at Purdue University.

Real estate has always been an interest of mine as my family as a whole has been into rental properties for as long as I can remember. I would like to learn more about real estate investment and administration, with the ultimate goal of operating my own real estate business with rental properties and relationships to successfully be able to flip properties for solid profits.

I understand that this isn't going to be a quick process and that is why I am trying to get started as early as possible. Creating a solid knowledge base to handle the many issues that will arise as I progress through this field. Thank you for everything that you have all done to make this site accessible and beneficial to those of us who lack your experience and knowledge.
